Carbs are often considered an avoidable food for weight loss. However, not all carbs are created equal. Simple carbs in the form of processed junk foods, high in sugar and refined grains are unhealthy and fattening. On the other hand, complex carbohydrates- whole, fiber-rich, and minimally processed foods are healthy.
