Kavitha Reddy is a well-known long-distance runner in India and one of the few Indian women runners. Even though she started running in her late 30s, in the last 8 years of her journey, she’s run 5 out of 6 World Marathon Majors, including Boston, Berlin, Chicago, London, and New York City Marathons.

Guest Profile:
Kavitha was born and spent her childhood in Anantapur, a small town in Andhra Pradesh. The daughter of a government school teacher and a homemaker instilled in her the importance of discipline & healthy living exceedingly early in her life. Values that have been in large part responsible for what she is today. Kavitha married early, and by age 27, she was the mother of two. At 39, her children grown and independent. She found the time to exercise, to stay active. She initially began running to keep fit. Very soon, it became much more. She had found her calling. Eight years on, she has progressed and achieved many set goals. The last one in Tokyo has been a long wait with the current situation Worldwide. It got cancelled twice, and Kavitha stays positive to complete whenever it opens out to all international runners.
